As I am sure you all have heard, the CDC recently updated their recommendations on their mask-wearing policy. This article will update you on our new mask policy that goes into effect tomorrow, Thursday, March 3rd, 2022.

The CDC recently created and posted a map of the COVID-19 Community Level based on where you live. This is a new tool to help communities decide what prevention steps to take based on the latest data. Levels can be low, medium, or high and are determined by the use of hospital beds, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area. This map will help you take self precautions to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 based on the COVID-19 Community Level in your area. As of today, we are at a medium level.
With this level, they recommend that.
If you are at high risk for severe illness, talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask and take other precautions.
Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines.
Get tested if you have symptoms.
Also, they recommend;
People may choose to mask at any time. People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask.
With these new recommendations, we are updating our mask policy to a volunteer basis. Team members and guests may now choose if they would like to wear a mask while receiving their service and in the common areas. As the recommendation above states, if you are at high risk for illness, they recommend that you continue to wear a mask at all times.
Often, as a business owner, and a Massage Therapist, I rely on governing bodies to guide me and recommend options to keep us safe. This guidance can be vague and confusing. This latest update seems clear that you may choose not to wear a mask unless you are in a high-risk area and are not at high risk for severe illness.
Thank you all for your help and support during these difficult times. We are all trying to maneuver this new time in our history.
Please let me, Ally, or Colette know if you have any questions!
